It's a decent size pet carrier. I'm not sure how well it would actually work with a small dog or puppy because they tend to be kind of squirmy when put in a carrying position, but for a large cat it is perfect. It could probably work well for other similarly shaped domesticated animals - or a feral animal if you had a helmet on to protect your face.It has plenty of ventilation and it feels sturdy and comfortable. The straps are padded and there's a waist strap for extra security.It's a little confusion to figure out the strap placement when you first look at it, but once you figure out which way is up it's fine.

Quality carrier! Was very comfortable for my pup and I. I have a 21lb Boston Terrier and he just fits. He prefers to dangle his arms over the edge, but does fit his entire body if I tuck him inside. Lots of straps to adjust, which is good for customizing your fit. Still fits comfortably even if you don’t want to use the waist strap.

We have tried NUMEROUS dog carriers for our 10 year old pug. This one is great. She actually has a real 'platform' to sit on and doesn't have to put her legs through anything, which she always fought. It also doesn't fit tight around her neck like some of the other front, legs out carriers. She has a partially collapsed trachea, so this is really important. We have used it in 80 plus degree sunny days and she has not gotten overheated any more than other carrriers we have tried. Partly because she is calmer in it and also it has vents. It is comfortable for the human and we like that it has space for her leash or other small items.
