My cats took to this bed immediately, which doesn't always happen with new pet furniture. The enclosed design appeals to their instinct to hide and feel secure, and I'll regularly find one of them curled up inside throughout the day. The soft, fluffy material seems genuinely comfortable for them based on how long they'll nap in there. What makes this better than other enclosed beds I've tried is the convertible design. I can press the roof down to turn it into an open bed when my cats are in a mood where they want to lounge more openly. It's a simple feature but incredibly practical. I love the zippers and how easy it is to clean the inside of the bed. The removable cushion being machine washable is a huge win. Cat beds get fur covered and occasionally have accidents, so being able to toss the cushion in the wash without hand scrubbing makes maintenance so much easier. The non slip bottom works well and keeps the bed from sliding around on my hardwood floors when the cats jump in and out. The door curtain is a cute touch, though my cats push through it without hesitation so it's more decorative than functional. The carry handle is useful for moving it between rooms or taking it along when we travel. I got the medium size for my 12 pound cat and it fits her comfortably with a little room to stretch. If you have a larger cat, measure carefully because the enclosed space is cozy but not spacious. For the price, it's a solid cat bed that my pets actually use and that makes my life easier when it comes to keeping it clean and it's thick enough that it holds heat in nicely in this cold weather. That's really all I need from pet furniture.
