Bought these for my cat and I’m happy with the purchase. The built-in light is actually very useful and helps me see exactly where to trim. The clippers feel solid, sharp, and comfortable to hold. I also like the small catcher that helps reduce the mess. Grooming my cat was quicker and less stressful than with my old clippers. Overall, a well-designed product that does what it promises.

There are a lot of positives about these cat nail clippers - namely the LED feature which can come in handy if you want to be sure that you are not cutting too close. The little container that catches the cat nail clippings is a bonus as well! I really did want to love these for it's features and attractive design and I did give them a go on my cats, but to be honest I found myself switching to my other pair of clippers halfway through. I found these to be pretty bulky and the cut didn't feel as clean as it does with my usual pair. Now, I've been using the same pair of cat nail clippers for 10 years so I'm definitely set in my habits and that is surely contributing to my experience. I think if I started with these, I would be perfectly content with them. But I do wish they were a little less bulky and provided a cleaner cut. They definitely work, and if you want that extra LED feature, then they will not be a bad choice!

The blade is sharp and illuminated by a blue LED light. Clippings fall into a little plastic holder under the blades, which can be easily turned over and emptied afterwards. The blade opens and the light comes on at the same time, with the flick of the opening/on switch. It runs on LR44 button batteries, which are cheap and can be replaced. There is even a cute little kitty-sized nail file hidden away in one of the handles! They seem to have thought of everything! Getting the cat to cooperate, as everyone knows, is another question. This is as close to a perfect cat nail clipper as any I have ever seen. But I still could not get my un-clipper-trained cat to lend a paw. That LED light will easily shine through clear claws, and you will know that there are no blood vessels to cut. The darker the claws become, the harder that is. But as most cats have clear claws, that will not likely be a problem as long as it is being used on cats. Cat nail clippers with LED lights can be had for $7 to $30. Most cost around $10 to $20. At the list price of $14.99, this cat nail clipper is priced exactly average. Given how well designed, complete, and effective it is, it is a good deal! Get these cat nail clippers! They are unusually well designed and complete! They function beautifully for cutting a cat’s claws! The blade is large enough but not too large. The imbedded LED light shines through the claw, making it easy to see blood vessels in clear cat claws. At least some of the clippings are automatically caught in the little plastic bin underneath, so there will be less debris on the floor. They are safe to use, the battery is replaceable, and they even include a kitty nail file! Will kitty consent to this perfect manicure? As all cat owners know, that is entirely another question!
